- Herb Page, Kent State University’s director of golf and head men’s golf coach was one of the Head Coaches and Kent State sophomore Pimnipa Panthong (Nakhon Sawon, Thailand) was one of just 10 golfers selected to play for the international team at the 2018 Arnold Palmer Cup. The event took place this July 6-8th in Evian France where the American team won by margin of 38.5 to 21.5 points. Page coached along side of Stanford’s women’s head coach Anne Walker in leading the young Americans. Panthong went 2 and 2 for the cup winning her first two matches in mixed fourball and foursomes and falling in afternoon fourball and then her singles match 2&1 to American Alana Uriell.
It’s great to see a local University having a global effect on the athletic scene.
